Dr. Malini Govindan

Dr. Govindan is an ABOG board-certified OBGYN physician currently practicing in Chandler, Arizona with an active medical license. After completing her MBBS degree at Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College (affiliated with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences) in Bangalore, India, Dr Govindan completed her licensing examinations and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. With over 15 years of extensive experience as an OBGYN physician working at various healthcare providers, including Houlton Regional Hospital in Maine, MomDoc, and Valley Women For Women in Arizona, Dr. Govindan has earned the reputation of being a passionate and caring doctor who always prioritizes her patients’ needs.

 

After years of practicing Western Medicine, Dr. Govindan felt a void that created a strong urge to explore Integrative medicine to find and address the root causes of her patients’ symptoms. She spent a year in India training in Ayurveda, the ancient system of medicine that originated over 3000 years ago. This led her to pursue a Master's degree in Integrated Medicine and Ayurveda from Maharishi International University, completing the program in 2023 and obtaining her board certification from NAMA (National Ayurvedic Medical Association, US).

 

With a holistic approach to patient care and well-being, Dr. Govindan seamlessly blends these two types of medicine, giving valuable dietary suggestions and lifestyle changes in addition to the treatments. This results in a unique and satisfying experience for all her patients. In addition to OBGYN and women's care, Dr. Govindan accepts patients of all genders and ages for treatments in Integrated Medicine and Ayurveda.
